PRIMAL ULTRA
The ultimate solo test. Primal Ultra is built for elite athletes seeking the most demanding hybrid fitness race on the planet.
With no teammates to lean on, this format attracts those who want to measure themselves against the very best and prove what they’re capable of under true pressure.



PRIMAL THREES
A same-gender team-of-three race designed for intermediate athletes ready to step things up. High-energy and competitive.
Primal Threes balances teamwork and challenge, offering a demanding but achievable progression within a strong team environment.



PEAK PAIRS
The advanced mixed-gender doubles race for high-level athletes.
Peak Pairs delivers a faster, more demanding format where experienced competitors come to push limits, chase performance, and take on a fresh, exhilarating Primal challenge.


PRIMAL RELAY
A fun, friendly team-of-four format built for inclusivity. With shared workloads and manageable pacing.
Primal Relay is perfect for mixed-ability teams who want to move, sweat, and compete together while enjoying the Primal race experience.


PATHWAY PAIRS
Our mixed-gender doubles format and the most accessible entry point into Primal. Designed for beginners and first-timers.
Pathway Pairs delivers the full Primal atmosphere and energy without the pressure, allowing athletes to experience the race, the community, and the buzz in a supportive environment.

Judging & Standards
Primal is built on clear, consistent movement standards. Judges are there to keep the floor fair, safe and equal for every athlete – not to get in your way. Before race day, all athletes receive guidelines and videos explaining exactly what counts as a good rep for each station.
On the day, judges will brief you, support you and make sure your effort is measured honestly.
